Dear Dear People
"Ball and Chain and the Wreckers" will play at the Elmdale House Tavern
on the first Saturday of every month from now on.
That's right... a house gig !! The event will Have a name and a
dedicated poster and stuff eventually but the main thing is to be
there.
The plan is to do it as a 4 piece core band and to have a featured
guest player every month. This month will feature Dan Artuso on Pedal
Steel and Electric Guitar.

$5 at the door
December 1st will be the 'Grand Re-opening' of the Elmdale with new
owners Natalie and Bruce Myles. Improvements will include a cleaned
up, though unaltered...(whew), Tavern and newly renovated bathrooms(no
regrets there). These new owners are unabashedly supporting live
entertainment and I think they deserve our support. Details of
featured artists etc. for future 1st Saturdays to be announced.

I don't usually do this but I'm going to plug a show that I'll be part
of at the NAC 4th Stage on Thursday Nov.29th. The show will be
recorded for broadcast on CBC radio 2. The Program is called "Canada
Live". There will be two bands featured that night.

I play fiddle in Jupiter Ray Project. These are both very interesting,
solid and original bands inspired by country music and good grooves to
be sure. Anyways, check it out. We'd like to have an audience anytime
but obviously for Radio it'd be a special treat. I'd say more but I've
had more than my share of your time already.
